We enjoy the outdoors and want to share the love of God's wonderful creation with others for HIS glory.
Woodsman Ministries originated from a desire by the leadership of Buckventures and The Woodsman to have a platform from which to minister the Gospel further.
Buckventures was founded on 2 Corinthians 5:7:
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
The Woodsman was founded on Proverbs 27:17:
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
We Are Followers of Jesus
Woodsman Ministries is a Christian, faith based non-profit organization. We believe the mark of a true Jesus follower is a love for others and an obedience to God’s Word. We profoundly hold a biblical worldview.
Romans 1:20 says, "For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse."

Woodsman Ministries exists to bring hope and encouragement through Jesus Christ to candidates who are dealing with life altering challenges. Our vision, as the Lord provides, is to offer hunting and other types of outdoor experiences for just such individuals. Our desire is to share the joy of the Lord through His creation in the outdoors.

Our goal is for every recipient to enjoy this retreat at no cost. Because family is so important to us, we will do our best to accommodate family experiences where feasible.

Candidates, whether applying for themselves or nominated by someone else, should do so through this website. Once completed, the application will be reviewed by our Board of Directors at their regularly scheduled meeting. Candidates will be approved by the Board of Directors on a basis of need and on the availability of experiences and funds.
